Turkey Eggs
We currently have 1 heritage turkey, Thanksgiving. Yes, her namesake meant she was intended for Thanksgiving dinner a couple years ago.
However, we enjoyed having her too much that we opted to keep her and consume her eggs instead. She produces approximately 100 eggs a year and we are excited to share some of her bounty with you.
We will be adding additional turkey's this Spring for egg laying adventures for Spring 2027.
Nutrition: A turkey egg has roughly 135 calories, 10.8g of protein, and higher cholesterol compared to ~72 calories and 6g of protein in a chicken egg.
Shell & Texture: Turkey eggs have a thicker, harder shell and a tougher, thicker membrane.
