Active Sourdough Starter

Our active sourdough starter began in May 2020 and is currently maintained with Organic All Purpose Flour (Azure Standard) and Filtered Water.

Sourdough will be fed at 10 am on the day of drop off.

If sourdough starter is not used within 12 hours of feed

A small feed will be required to properly activate starter for bread making purposes.

To ensure your starter is ready for bread making you can float test a drop or two.

If starter is no longer active it is considered discard and can be used in an array of baking recipes that call for sourdough discard.

100 grams of starter is included in each jar.
