Forest Raised Pork Ham Hock
This is old-school flavor right here.
Our forest-raised pork ham hocks come from pigs raised outdoors on pasture and in the woods, allowed to root, roam, and grow at a natural pace. That slower growth and real diet shows up where it matters — deep flavor, real texture, and plenty of collagen for slow cooking.
Each ham hock is slow smoked for a subtle, balanced flavor — enough to gently season beans or greens without overpowering the dish. We cooked one in a pot of greens and it added just the right touch of smoke — noticeable, but never too much.
Great for:
- Beans and peas
- Greens (collards, turnip, mustard)
- Soups, stews, and broths
- Any recipe that needs real pork flavor, not shortcuts
What you’ll notice:
- Clean, honest pork flavor
- Excellent collagen for body and richness
- No water-added meat, fillers, or nonsense
This is the kind of cut that built Southern kitchens — simple, practical, and unbelievably good when treated right.
